This is the official website of the European Union with links to all of the EU institutions. EU Bodies and Institutions
European Commission
Part of the Europa website, this is the official source of information on the European Commission. Links to all the Directorates-General (DGs), as well as profiles on the 20 Commissioners can be found here. This site also provides information on recent events in the EU, and copies of official documents can be downloaded. [Versions available in 20 official EU languages]

Council of Ministers
This is the principal source of information on the Council of Ministers, the prime decision-making body of the EU. This site provides details on the new areas of competence: Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and Justice and Home Affairs (JHA). Users can obtain full-text version of the EU's treaties, find links to the current Council President's website, and view other information about on-going events.

European Parliament
Provides information on the European Parliament and links to national parliaments. Users can keep updated about the latest parliamentary business.

European Court of Justice
Provides basic information on the ECJ, as well as official publications, press releases, and recent case law.

Economic and Social Committee
The ESC was set up in 1957 for the purpose of ensuring that economic and social interest groups play an active role in the European decision-making process. This site provides information on the ESC, its activities and documents.

Committee of the Regions
The CoR is an advisory assembly of the EU, composed of 222 representatives from local and regional authorities. It was created by the Treaty on European Union (Maastricht Treaty), and aims to defend the subsidiary principle.
